Long Island University Opens State-of-the-Art Graduate
Facility in Westchester County
April 19th ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the occasion
For more than 25 years, the
Westchester Graduate Campus of Long Island University has offered
graduate degree programs in Westchester County. On April 19th, the
institution will mark the opening of its new facility on the campus
of Purchase College, State University of New York with a ribbon-cutting
ceremony. The opening of this center, and the quality of the degree
programs it offers, reflect the Universitys continued commitment
to provide the highest level of graduate education to the Countys
residents.
The centers dynamic design
combines state-of-the-art technology with eye-catching aesthetic appeal.
Smart classrooms feature Internet connections, laptop accessibility,
the latest multimedia capabilities and ergonomically designed seating.
Glass-enclosed lounges provide inviting spaces for students and faculty
to meet, study or just relax. Ample parking, a valuable commodity

The mission of the Westchester
Graduate Campus, to provide a supportive learning environment for
adults pursuing graduate degrees, is realized throughout every aspect
of the student experience. Course schedules are tailored to fit the
needs of busy working professionals. Most classes meet once a week
in the late afternoon or early evening. Saturday classes and intensive
one-week summer courses also are available, and administrative offices
are open on Saturdays for registration and academic counseling. Long
Island Universitys on-line library catalog system, which offers
access to more than 2.7 million volumes, makes it easy for working
professionals to do research from home, logging on at their convenience.
