Long Island University International Students Office - Brooklyn Campus Steve A. Chin International Students Office Student Union Building, Room S304 Long Island University 1 University Plaza Brooklyn, NY 11201-5372 Tel: (718) 488-1216 schin@hornet.liunet.edu The International Students Office of Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus is dedicated to serving the international student population of the Brooklyn Campus. Located on the third floor of the Sloan Wing, the office is headed by Steve A. Chin and is assisted by William Plaskettt, office manager, and a host of competent student aides. The hours are 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday except Tuesdays, when the office is open until 6:30 p.m. The office is designed to assist any international student with any non-academic problems that they may encounter while studying at the University. A free international students manual is also available to students. The office operates on an open-door policy and students are always welcome to drop in. In-coming students are urged to attend a special orientation at the beginning of each semester in order to familiarize themselves with their new surroundings.
