The Library and Information Science (LIS) collection of print and electronic books and journals, as well as databases,
supports the Palmer School of Library and Information Science. The print collection of over 5,000 volumes of LIS journals and LIS reference books is housed on the main floor of the LIU
Post library. Many of the LIS resources are electronic for availability at all Palmer School locations as well as for
online and blended courses. A LIS librarian is available to assist Palmer students and faculty.
Circulating books supporting the Palmer School are located in the
main stacks of the Post library. These books can be sent to any of the other campuses where Palmer
courses are held using the interlibrary loan service. Use the Accession List link at left to see the latest
print and electronic books acquired for the collection.
Palmer School dissertations are available at the reserve desk or online.
Use the links at left to find journals, books, and databases. A Library Guide to these and other LIS sources is also available.
