The central mission of the School of Public Service is to educate future managers and administrators of public agencies through undergraduate and graduate curricula that combines a top quality educational environment with frequent and direct involvement in management, policy and research issues.

The C.W. Post School of Public Service consists of the Department of Health Care and Public Administration. The School of Public Service is one of the best places to prepare for a variety of fields through stimulating courses and challenging internships. There is no shortage of career opportunities for students interested in helping people better their lives. That’s why the School and its outstanding faculty are dedicated to educating students through a curriculum that incorporates the most progressive ideas in the field.

The School of Public Service places an emphasis on both policy analysis and public management. These concerns include a broad spectrum of issues regarding criminal justice, security administration, health care and public administration, and social work. Excellence runs throughout each program, including the MPA in Public Administration—which is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration.

Each program emphasizes practical experience, which is why we offer career-enhancing internships in law enforcement agencies, government offices, the courts system and more. Our outstanding full-time faculty are assisted by adjuncts who have local and international experience. They range from police officers and commissioners to lawyers and judges.
