Formerly Children's Catalog, this selective listing of fiction and nonfiction works, story collections, picture books, magazines, and web resources recommended for readers from preschool through sixth grade. Entries provide complete bibliographic data, price, subject headings, a descriptive annotation, evaluative quotations from a review (when available), and citations to additional reviews.

Children's Literature Comprehensive Database (CLCD) Remote access available Full text available
Provides an extensive array of information about more than 900,000 children's books, video and audio recordings, film strips, and other children-focused media. Records come with all of the official cataloging data, subject terms, and annotations. In addition, CLCD contains more than 130,000 critical reviews of thousands of children's books, ranging from the earliest baby board books to novels and nonfiction for young adults, and an average of more than 1500 new reviews are added to the database monthly. Combining Fiction Connection and Non-Fiction Connection, this readers' advisory tool assists readers in finding book suggestions/recommendations based on the books that they have already read, authors that they already like, and topics that already interest them. Fiction Connection gives readers the option of browsing categories such as genre, setting, character, location and timeframe, while Non-Fiction Connection covers narrative non-fiction books featuring characters, storylines, and dramatic elements. Every query returns suggested titles that each have a "Find Similar" button so that readers never reach a dead end. Book descriptions include enriched content such as reviews, annotations, and first chapters. Also includes the Bowker Reads blog.

Produced by the Buros Institute at the University of Nebraska, it provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 contemporary testing instruments. Contains information essential for a complete evaluation of test products within such diverse areas as psychology, education, business, and leadership. Covers from Volume 1 to the present. Tests in Print serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. It includes test purpose, test publisher, in-print status, price, test acronym, intended test population, administration times, publication date(s), and test author(s).
