||Selecting courses is the first step in registration at Long Island University. After registering, you will be mailed an account statement which shows charges and credits for the upcoming semester and any balance or credit from a previous term. Credits listed on your statement include actual financial aid and/or any credits still remaining from a previous semester.
University Deferred Payment Plan
You may pay your current term balance in full or you may defer up to half until later in the term by participating in the University Deferred Payment Plan. Half payment must be accompanied by the completed University Deferred Payment form.You may wish to mail your form and payment to the Office of the Bursar or you may wish to come to the Bursar Office during our office hours. Deferred Payment Plan Forms can also be faxed to the Bursarís Office at 718-780-4071.
Third Party Payments
For students receiving tuition remission or third party payments the necessary forms must be submitted for credit to be given against your bill.
The balance due of your account statement can be paid with checks, bank drafts, money orders and credit cards. Checks and money orders must be made out to Long Island University in U.S. currency. Please write your Student I.D. number (EMPL#) on your check or money order. Postdated checks will not be accepted.
You can also use Visa, Mastercard or Discover Card to pay your bill. When paying by mail, please provide written authorization for credit card charges by filling in the information on the bottom of your statement account or by faxing a credit card authorization form to the Bursarís Office at 718-780-4071.
