Welcome to the Long Island Guitar Festival Web site.

The 21st Festival was held March 17 to 24, 2013 at LIU Post in Brookville, NY.

Artists who appeared at the Festival include the Williams-Etheridge Duo (John Williams and John Etheridge), William Kanengiser, Gyan Riley, the Eden Stell Guitar Duo, Matt Palmer, Dennis Koster, the Freedom High School Guitar Ensemble, the Brentwood High School Guitar Ensemble and Emerging Artists Gunnlaugur Björnsson and the Stony Brook Guitar Quartet – Jose Maldonado, Barkely Heuser, Yannis Petridis, James Kerr.

An Evening Music Dream, an evening of music for solo and ensemble guitar, included works by Bach, Giuliani, Marais, and Domeniconi and featured the World Premiere of "Mourning Mist" by Joseph Russo for Guitar and String Quartet.

Artists who presented master classes, workshops and discussions include Gyan Riley, Mark Eden and Christopher Stell, William Kanengiser, Matt Palmer, James Erickson and Dennis Koster.

Festival 2013 was funded in part by grants from The Augustine Foundation, The D'Addario Foundation for the Performing Arts, Guitar Center, Murphy's Music & Violin Shop, Sam Ash Music Stores, Savarez, The John P. McGrath Fund of LIU and the LIU Post Department of Music.
